I have noticed this for a while and I just wondered why they do it. While looking for DVDs on places like Ebay and Amazon I notice that you can buy DVDs or popular shows like Will & Grace and Friends in chunks. For example Friends Series 10 - Episodes 1-4. Why do they do this?
Because buyers want it lol . If their is demand then product will automatically come online . We can tell out children to watch cartoons on channels like cartoon network and pogo but we have buy old series on their demands .

Because they can make more money like that If you want an entire series, you've got to buy 2-3 DVD's to have it, meaning more cash being spent heh
Where there is a demand, there is product and service. DVDs are not expensive, people enjoy them and don't have to wait for the TV shows .

While looking for suppliers, I found only one retailer in UK that can supply disks suitable for retail store rental. Their catalogue covers everything and the prices are cheap. The usual cost of their disks are between £5 - £15 and this includes the latest releases that you would only be able to rent from a dvd store.
