Why do they even do it?

Can someone tell me why Gmail still has those invites things. People can just sign up for free you don't need to invite them.

Its not true. Ive made plenty of accounts for friends.

 

Maybe that's something new. Two or tree months ago somebody told me that no one can have gmail account if is not invited by somebody who already have gmail account.

Try it your self. Just insert some fake information you will see.

 

I tried to create a new Gmail account for a client and no URL or method was successful until I logged to send myself an invite and create that way the client's account :/
