Why do some think the earth is only a few thousand years old?

    I never said I ignored any scientists. Yes they have numbers but how sure are they, it is pointless debate anyway.

    Again people, the book of genesis was never meant to be interpreted literally.
    Its pure ignorance if u even try to interprete them this way.
    Sorry but carbon dating does work and not one extremists christian has ever been able to disprove this method. Science and evolution prove the existence of god , they dont disprove it

    is there a way to really tell? Scientists have already proven some methods of measure are not as accurate as previously thought.

    I suppose there would be a margin of error on measuring something billions years old, but it isn't going to come up with a result even close to only a few thousand years.
