Why Do Some Sites Show Up as "NOT ACTIVE" in WhoIs?

    Hi,
I hope this is the best forum to place this thread in. Based on a post by Iskandar on another thread, I checked out a bunch of sites on whois.sc and found one site that is listed as Not Active. Any explanation of what can cause that? The site has not been down at all. The site has been updated at least once a month.
    Thanks

    Hi
    sure you spelled it correctly?

It also happens if you have domains 301 redirected.

E.G. the domain is redirected from co.uk to com it shows .co.uk as inactive.....

use a server header check to see if thats the case.

Yes, I did spell it right. In the case of whois.sc, it also shows you a screenshot of the homepage. In my case, it was correct. No redirect etc. What could it be?

sorry no idea - don't use this stuff - one of my domains shows as inactive - but that runs a 301

always rely on tld registrar rather than feeds.
