    I think googles sandbox Is a bunch of bull. Google has to many rules and regulations. That's just my opinion.

    I was testing a bit. Sandbox is BULL. It is a theory that is overblown.

    here is what I did. I was writing posts on two blogs making a disticnt difference in the keywords I was choosing. I did identical submissions for both blogs and one got me a PR 6 in a very short time as well as some great traffic, and another one, more interestingly, got me more traffic, but no PR and got "sandboxed". Then I was somparing them. It took 3 changes to make on a blog to un-box it.

    Here is the deal apparently,, and this is still a theory...

    Site will loose SOME credibility if you suddenly add unrelated content to it. Or of you add content that is on ageneral scale considered to be SPAM or dealing with SHADY business.

    As soon as I removed the keywords indicating possibly a relationship with shady business the site showed up very high in the serps again.

    Not saying it is correct that this is happening, but from what I could see, the OFF-TOPIC content gets you down.

    I once tested a theory about getting the site out of 'sandbox' by adding more one way backlins that had some relevancy and it worked too.

    Well, it finally happened. Over the course of the last two weeks my site has finally emerged from the sandbox ... just a week before it's a year old! :)

    My primary keyword was first on page 6, then on page 4, then on page 2.

    Today, for the first time, I've made it to the first page (#9).

    I'm ALREADY seeing increased traffic ...

    The way you get out of the mythical sandbox is that searchers find you on page #6 and click on you. After a number of such clicks, you move up to page #4, and so on. It's a pretty simple concept, actually.

    The reason that it takes so long for you to move up is that only a few searchers are willing to go all the way to page #6 in the SERPs to find you. Thanks goodness for those who do.

    Google's sandbox is somewhat of a myth. It's about relevance, popularity and volume of your site.

    Relevance = Your content
    Popularity = Backlinks

    And how would Google get your site's volume? Think Google Analytics. (The toolbar had a backlash since it was viewed a potential spyware. Why not have people sign up willingly to be spyed on!)

    And you thought they were giving away Google analytics accounts for free because they were nice people. :)
