Use clickbank for payment processing but they do not allow affiliates to promote there product? I find it odd that a merchant wouldn't want others to help drive sales.

Seems odd, I'm a publisher and the only time I want LESS affiliates is when the product is too hot... I'm not even sure if CB publishers CAN 'not allow' you, if you see their product in the marketplace, you can generate a hoplink, hence you can generate a sale through it... (am I wrong? Can a publisher NOT allow aff's in?). Perhaps they have had a streak of attracting unethical affiliates, I've even heard stories of merchants being sued due to their affiliates efforts...

But hey, if you're looking for great products to promote (shameless plug) please check my sigs, I could always use more reputable affiliates :)

I didn't find the merchant in the clickbank marketplace. I noticed they were advertising with adwords and were using clickbank for payment processing. I contacted them inquiring about their affiliate program, and they weren't offering one.

if you dont choose a category for the product it wont go in the marketplace.

Some people want to promote the site themselves.

there is one site i know of that sells lots of their own CB products, none are in the marketplace.. i think its fabjobs.com
