Ive seen different forums... on which some CODE all there URL links in the forums, and some leave it clickable... Whats the reason behind CODING the links and not Coding? Example: www.asfasdsadasfasfasdasaaaaaaaaaad.com Code (markup): And www.asfasdsadasfasfasdasaaaaaaaaaad.com
i assume it's the latter. it depends on forum owner's preferences i guess. clickable links are mainly for SE benefits, while non-clickable ones would prevent spam.
Non-Clickables links are used to prevent referrals from sites/forums to the site, the link of which is being mentioned. This thing is commonly used by warez/illegal sites who donot want the main site to know about them posting their software. Or in some cases when the poster doesnt want to give any link love to the site. Abhishek
even non clickable has se benifits, i was checking backlinks and i got a backlink from a page which did not even hiperlink my url!! anyways anyways, i think it deponds on the forum admins!! when ever i give links, i always use this to hiperlink them,
That has got to be one of the most funniest thing I have heard in years. Dude you always have to chime in on threads that you have absolutely no idea about and use the rolleyes smiley ? Duhh ?
oh? so it wasn't the latter? but i guess the reason would be the same, since is not clickable. Code (markup):
