    Hi All

Can someone please explain why some ad units receive higher costs per clicks then others?

    I have two Ad Units, a 200 x 200 "Small Square" and a 728 x 90 "Leaderboard" on the same page.

The leaderboard is a text only unit, but I took Google advice and allowed either text or image ads for the square unit.

The Square Ad Unit receives way more clicks (50% more), however the revenue from the leaderboard is always greater (20% greater).

Can someone please explain why this is?

In what order do your adsense blocks appear IN THE HTML CODE?
The first adsense block get higher eCPM ads than the second one. Highest eCPM ad doesn't necessarily means higher CPC.

if you have few ad blocks, top position ads will always pay more. aside form that, you get paid based on how much advertisers spend per click on that ad. some ads just pay more so you get more
