Why do so many ppl get Banned?

I always see ppl who are banned. Some of them have 60 posts, others have over 1,000.

Also many of them get banned very recently (like 1 day before I see they are banned). I then get curious to see why they got banned and look at their posts, and I dont see anything particular that would warrant a ban.

So are these temporary bans or permanent?
Also, what is the usual thing ppl get banned for?

 

infractions or just to many usernames.

 

When members do not follow the rules mentioned here (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/faq.php) they get infractions. Too many infractions lead to a ban. Also private message spamming is a certain ban.

 

Permanent bans are when you can't give the user rep
You can tell from that

 

spaming or trying to steal are the major ways to get banned
the reason you might not see any bad post, is the mods would delete or move them to private forums
