I heard so many people talking about wordpress. who can tell me the pros and cons of using wordpress? is it easy to learn? i mean for an ordinary guy who is not so smart and not so retard. How long does it take for a guy to master it. I mean to know the general functions of it? I want to rebuild one of my site. and I want to know if I should have a try of this.

I think WP is helped by it's ability to look like a website rather than just a blog, depending on the theme of course. There's also a pretty helpful forum at WP if you get stuck at all.

People talk about it because compared to many other CMS's (Content Management System) WordPress has built entire industry around it. Developers and designer can make money by selling plugins and themes. Basically you could have a million dollar website up and running in few hours. And as this platform has really huge community backing it up, it's quality is not only loved by it's developers. The administration interface is really easy to use. Millions of people use it without headaches :). And as it's so widely spread, it's also easy to crawl by search engines.

I wish WordPress would have been popular back in the day when I invested quite huge amout of money into one project. I would have saved a lot of money. But this was a good lesson. Now we founded a company that is selling premium plugins for WordPress called Plugistan, so people could get months of hard work on features they wish to have on their website with just a few clicks. There are lot's of guys like us developing plugins and themes out there and that is the beauty of WordPress.

My top 5 reasons for always using and recommending wordpress, when I don't use my own domains:

    1) FREE to use.

    2) Extremely simple and user friendly. Very good for starters in web design/blogging.

    3) Totally customizable and versatile.

    4) Tons of free guides and templates out on the net.

    5) Endless amount of plugins.

WordPress is a great script which often does not get the credit and appreciation that it deserves. When people think of WordPress, they think of it as just a simple blogging script like any other. But that is when you get it wrong. WordPress is not any blogging software, it is the BEST blogging software which is FREE. WordPress is simple, and we agree with that statement. But due to its simplicity, it is open to possibilities. We have seen WordPress being used in many ways and by some of the top businesses in the industry. It is a powerful tool with robust features. We have compiled a few reasons why you should use WordPress, in what ways you can use WordPress, and who is using WordPress.

Wordpress is available for free, it is very user friendly and plugins are easily available. You can modify your website and posts easily even though you are not web-developer.
