What do you mean with "until the traffic is enough to warrant CPM"? Could you (or someone else) please elaborate?
I don't think anybody will want to advertise on my site and that's why I removed it My earnings did raise a little lately, I don't know if it is related
i leave it there too.. if an advertiser decides to bid, then the potential earnings per click will be higher and more competitive ads placement takes place.. of course ad blindness will be reduced if you took it out... need to experiment it more.. maybe wait for google to introduce a system to monitor by page instead of all sites from 1 account.. will be better if they can actually give us some commissions if an advertiser sign up through our site but unfortunately thats not the case...
My advise is take it off if you're getting less than 5000 impressions per day per ad. Leave it on if it's more. High impressions ads tends to attract bidders to sponsor the ad space.
I've now removed it. Not noticed any difference in revenue yet but I think it was only today it kicked in. What I have noticed, though, on a 728x90 ad on one of my sites is that not only has "Advertise on this site" gone but so has "Ads by Goooooogle" It only seems to be on the leaderboard size ad.....Anyone else found this? EDIT : Update on this. It's only when displaying 4 ads in the leaderboard. When displaying 3 the "Ads by..." bit is back. Curious....
If someone choose to advertise on your site it will NOT decrease your earnings, if the advertiser does not bid high enough, other non site targeted ads will show instead.
I think people here are confused about this. By removing the message on your ads, you aren't taking yourself out of being bid on for CPM ads. People can still bid on your site. They just won't know they can by looking at the ads on your site. People have taken it off of their sites because that message doesn't blend well. If the ad doesn't blend well, the CTR is lower.
