Why do so few people use Firefox?

I use Opera and FF

 

The majority of the hits on my new forum are from users with Mozilla Firefox but Internet Explorer is a close second. Users of browsers like Opera and Safari rarely visit my sites apparently.

 

I prefer firefox, but since every windows users has ie as default its more than liekyl going to be more popular

 

IE is way too lousy You should reconsider Firefox, thats the way you'll get feeling why people hate IE

 

IE because it supports more things than Firefox. I actually have to use IE for certain sites.

Agreed. Just lack of knowledge about the alternatives.... not too long ago, as I recall, FF did take out a full page ad in a prominent newspaper .... that probably helped the market share that they currently do have

Exactly, I've got FF installed but I still prefer IE. The only other browser I really used was Netscape.

It because 90 percent using Microsoft OS AND bundled with IE? So the newbie - the care less - wouldn't mind using IE although it buggy!

 

Well, IE comes with their computers, so they probably don't know that they can use anything else, or they're scared to. I didn't want to switch browsers at first, and it confused me. Even less people use Opera even though it's faster than Firefox, it's just not as flashy. :/

 

Yeah, I have lots of friends, and they only know about the big blue "e" - Explorer. They don't know what is internet browser.

So, Internet = Explorer

I heard a story, that two girls went to an Apple shop, and one of them tried to coonect to the net, and she realized, that the computer does'nt has internet access, cuz she didn't find the blue "e" icon DAMN!

Well I was doing an experiment before that I needed other browsers for, but none of them just seemed that great. Now I have to say, FireFox did work with some things that I couldn't get IE to do. It has a nice Interface but I still prefer IE. There is just something really good about it IMO. Netscape wasnt really that great IMO. Not as good as IE & FireFox.

 

I use both IE & Firefox, depends what site's I'm on.

 

Agreed. Sadly, most people don't even know other browsers exist out there for them to use. Some people even think ISP's like AOL take you to a different internet...that's how sad it is.

 

Most of the visitors to my site (80%) use IE and less than 10% use mozilla. Mozilla has lost most of its original charm over the years and it has a lot of rivals now.
