One day a site can be ranked on the 8th page of Google for a specific keyword, and the next day it can be completely gone from Google altogether...only to reappear a couple of days later.
Google workers search the engine for duplicates of submitted sites, as robots make mistakes too They have been cracking down on this, so it may just be harder to find as it was a duplicate. Sites that disappear, or are closed will still show on Google until noticed.
Halloween effect I guess) I see that all the time, may be Google got real fast tracking the changes on www. that SERP changes fast as well.
That happen every time for website with no trust worthy. You need to get trust from SE to get your position.
i am also facing this problem with some of my keywords for the website...http://www.ebizontek.com drupal services company
yea... think this is due to the sudden removing of caching from your site. Sometimes it happens that the Google caching is removed from the site. This make the site away from SERPs.
As Justin has pointed out, you should be aware of the fact that even 20% of similar looking content can put your site on the back seat. Make unique content and see the results!
There could be many reasons for the sites to disappear, one of them could be your site page had gone in for a change, and Google doesn't recommend that change.
This happens mostly with new sites, they index and rank well initially but after some time rank drops a lot but if you continue on doing promotion and building quality inks it has good chance to come back and get ranking as well as become stable on its position.
Welcome to the Google Dance Club. It actually happens to a new website as long as you don't get a stable SERP.
dear, i think your site has been in google send box it means google have penalty on your site. check you site al keyword ranking again.
My opinion: Domain age has some effect on ranking in a way that new domains don't have established trustworthiness with Google and more important thing, not enough quality backlinks simple because they are new and it takes time to "make" friends in online jungle. Yes, you work hard on the content of your site, your posts are original and good as posts of the guys ranking number 1 in SERP. But still your site is not going anywhere. Why? Again backlinks. For example, I was monitoring SERP for one very competitive keyword and at one point following happened: New site( just registered ) showed up on page 20 for the first time. After couple of days, to my big surprise, it jumped to first page on position 6. I checked out website;average design, some SEO, average content and....single backlink from, you guessed, number 4 ranked site( online store). Site in question is review site for the same type of product that online store sells. There is no obvious connection between two sites and I was wondering why would well ranked site give a such bust to the startup,"one of the millions" average blog. But after some digging I found out that same company is behind both sites. And it was not temporary jump. Site is still there after couple of months, stable in SERP.Lesson:Unless you can do the same thing somehow all your efforts in hitting first page( and staying there) just with quality content is just the dream.Making connections in online world is as important as in the real world. That brings question-Does all sites ranked on first page deserve to be there? Contentwise-no, smart monopoly-yes. Join the game or forget it!!
As mentioned before it happens very often with new websites (less than 1 year old) then ranking tend to stabilise. Building more quality backlinks and small amount of new content for your website will do the trick. Just think for yourself, do you add links consistently, like 1 link an hour? I really doubt so as you need to sleep so you add 10 links to your website in one go, thus your link building flactuates, why wouldn't you expect your ranking to flactuate?
there could be hundreds of reasons and each site will have different variables. to be able to pin it to 1 thing would be a task in futility. the main possible reason could be - competitors ranking better, google algo change, negative seo or google catches your work and flags it as seo spam.
If you have not changed the content of you website, you can expect two things: 1) Maybe your website come back to its previous position after some days. 2) Maybe your website has been penalized by Google.
