why do ppl say Joomla is bad for seo?

    i know Joomla has the text adders and page description entries per article, so why do people say Joomla is bad for seo?

    because of lack of information people are having about joomla - that it can be an optimized website too... :)

    by adding SEO plugin ( sef ) u can improve seo of joomla . but i think wordpress is more seo friendly than joomla but joomla is a nice CMS

    I dont think so, joomla has some search engine freindly url plugins like sh404sef, which can make joomla search engine freindly .

    Because people want immediate features with no work. Joomla is not for someone who just wants to install, flip a switch and be done. In fact, I'll go to the mat and say that no serious site really works that way - you gotta put in the sweat equity.

    The whole WordPress-vs-Joomla SEO argument has been done to death (just Google this and watch as the search results rack up) but there is a nice little article that is fairly interesting to read (including the comments):
