that's exactly it right there, people are unaware of alternatives. I bet if you asked 10 avg. Phil's off the street 9/10 of them would say "What's a Firefox?"
windows comes with IE, and that is the only reason why people still use IE! basically the new people, who dosenot use internet too much use the IE for surfing, because if you browse too much using IE it will defenitely crash!
I prefer the AOL web browser AT&T now distributes AOL CD's as part of their DSL package...WT_!!!!!!!!!!!
I use Safari for Macintosh. But every now and then I find that directory submission pages are garbled in Safari. Inevitably they appear correctly in IE for Mac. That's the only time I use IE.
FF still has a few bug they have not addressed in years, one being xml does not update right away when you refresh, another is the flash player, it only updates when you update FF. and the passwords of other users are still visible in the password manager this is the biggest un addressed issue with FF been like that in over 3 years To see a list of the user names and passwords you have stored: 1. Open the Tasks menu, choose Privacy & Security, and then choose Password Manager. 2. Select View Stored Passwords from the submenu. You see the Password Manager window. 3. Click the Passwords Saved tab. You see a list of all the stored user names. (Passwords are not listed.) <<<until you click the "view passwords button" * To remove a user name, click it and then click Remove. The next time you visit the web site, you will be asked to enter your password. * Click the Passwords Never Saved tab to see a list of the web sites for which you instructed Password Manager never to store user names. To remove a web site from this list, click it and then click Remove. The next time you visit the web site, you will be asked if you want Password Manager to save the user name and password for that site. it lists the sites url, the user name and the password. anyone using your pc to check their email account has left theri password on your pc. anyones pc you have used to check emails on that use FF, you have left all your passwords open too
