I understand that it's old school but I still like it. Am I the only one out there that still has an AOL account? Please don't be too brutal on me

I personally hate "communicating" (or at least trying to) with someone on AOL because they're so cheap they don't include the original messages to save on data. This means I often get emails from AOL users saying just something like "Yes, that would be perfect", to which I have to reply "I'm sorry but since you use AOL the original messages are not included, what would be perfect?".

It's so bad I actually had to develop a web based support center just because of AOL users and the ridiculous limitations AOL imposes on their users making email conversations impossible.

AOL is just so old that a lot of people find it funny that you're still using it. That's like using AltaVista instead of Google lol ;)

this is a weird world indeed....old things are made fun of.....new things a pursued.....still if you like using it....you shouldn't be pressurized by other people opinions and stuffs.... :) ...
just say something like, "I've been using this for soo long that I'm used to this now I don't want to take the trouble of changing it"... :D

I tried using AOL back in 2005, but then moved on to Yahoo, because Yahoo was better and convenient.

Most people compare using AOL, with riding a bike with training wheels. :)

When ever some one mentions AOL it reminds me of the trial CD's they would give out for free every where.

Because when you using it, your IP will automatically change to US IP

it's the same with hotmail it's out of date. Of course it's your decision but for me either use your own domain name for email addresses or just go with bigGmail

I don't know about AOL but all the old Email services tend to offer bad services compared to the newer ones.

    So untrue!

Facebook runs javascript of live.com which is hotmail. This is a relatively recent addition.

Microsoft's new social network requires either facebook or a hotmail account.

Hotmail is alive and kicking, gmail is turning into a scary prospect of privacy concerns and overly targeted and invasive advertisements
