Why do people buy traffic?

I'm curious... could someone tell me the different reasons that people buy traffic?

I don't get it.

 

Simply because what's the use of a website if doesn't get any traffic?

Traffic = Revenue

 

For CPM advertising?

Traffic doesn't equal revenue to me.

 

They buy it because they don't know how to get it any other way.

 

ha. Though I sell traffic, but I also don't know why people buy traffic. I know some guys use our traffic for CPM and Adsesne, but most guys not.

Every websites need Traffic..There are different methods to achieve Traffic.It can be through Search engine optimisation, Buying Traffic..Now a days it becomes harder to get a top rank Via seo only due to high competition, so people find an alternate way to increase Traffic and the only option availabe is to buy traffic from certain websites that are already recieving lots of unique visitors daily..They can sell their visitors by redirecting visitors to another website.This helps to gain traffic instantly without doing much efforts in link building , seo etc..and this will help you a boost in search engine rankings, alexa rankings etc..So buying traffic can do wonders if its is real and genuine human visitors..

You can see it like this, your site is a restaurant. So what good is a restaurant if no one go and eats there?

I disagree..Do you know there are peoples who buy Non targeted Traffic for their websites even if they know it will not convert..why?..its because they want to promote their website in front of real human visitors, just to expose their brand and for a boost in their search engine rankings, alexa rankings etc..Traffic is all you need if you want to become a successful business man..

 

Why not?..Traffic is all that make it happens..But no bot traffic..

 

For Fun?..So u think tons of webmasters purchase traffic just for fun..Traffic means more exposure of your brand..buying trafic is a form of advertising also..

 

First of all don't you think that the "Traffic" your buying are not human visitors? If you would try to look around in the "Traffic" forum almost all the sellers here are selling real human visitors.

And more importantly, why would they expose their brand, boost there SE rankings and alexa rankings?

Answer = to get more visitors or potential sales. And if you go deeper and deeper. The bottomline of getting traffic is to get more revenue.

 

Buying traffic is also a solution for it..it can convert as well...i see that there are many webmsaters promoting niche such as music, and they are very much successful in exposing there brand after purchasing traffic..i do not said that buying traffic will not convert it can convert if it is targeted traffic..targeted traffic is the solution for sales and leads/signups....

 

...they pay for traffic because they're looking for short cuts!

doing the SEO thing is all about "rolling up your sleeves" and putting
in the effort and learning.
most people jumping into online marketing don't have the patience or drive to do it
