Why do people buy traffic, how does it help?

I see so many traffic generators: sites that sell 10000 hits for 10 bucks etc etc. But how does it help?


What are the methods to send people traffic?
I assume easiest way is to just send out a bot from one or two ips.

seems like a waste.

 

It helps when you have CPM on your pages

Usually it cames from pop ups or PTC sites (like bux.to)

 

People brought these traffic to inflate their traffic stats.

 

I have never seen any traffic like this that converts :-( so it is a waste of money and time, better go with adwords or link building

Most of the bulk traffic that is sold doesnt convert very well, or at all. It depends on what the traffic source is.

 

Well at some places you can buy targeted traffic and this can help with adsense and affiliate marketing

 

Make sure the traffic that you buy is targeted. Quality traffic = $$$.

 

In my experience over the past three years I have found that it is not very helpful and a big waste of money. Most do not convert into sales of any kind. Certainly will not help if you are trying to sell advertising. The traffic you are receiving is irrelevant.

 

Depends on what traffic you are buying ! Pop-Up windows, bots, etc. - they all are useless and most probably you will not make a single dime from it.

I will agree, it is a waste of money to actually buy traffic. Most of the time, these websites that claim to give you traffic are only getting you traffic from fake bots and not real people. Then, they hurry off with your money and you never hear from them again. I would suggest investing in a software that can get you traffic over and over rather than buying traffic from anyone. Also, you can get more traffic from social networking and blogging. Do not pay for traffic....EVER!

 

You can buy web traffic to advertise your website in several advertising companies. However, you must be careful when trying to buy web traffic, choose wisely and do a research before you purchase web traffic from advertising companies, use the best company so you can get the expected results!

 

Based on our experience, it really helps to rank your site in search engines. But be careful because Google might caught you. I think it's not a healthy way to SEO, I consider it blackhatting. 

 

i prefer do my own way get an .edu domain , post your article related you niche , that one point to your niche with 3 outbound dofollow - trackback backlinks , then ping - bookmark -blog comment that point to your .edu domain , the same static page article that point to you home page with the 3 dofollo backlinks, so you'll have the bcklinks just from High PR websites That one google loves .EDU , your will never get banned from backlinks blasting or deindex . any many more fetures plus if then you create a little php lines into your domain index that can create around 50k - 100k unique visits by day just with some good footprint

Those traffic are useless, it can only improve the Alexa ranking and use to "cheat" the potential buyer
Forget about tos kind of low quality traffic
