There are literally hundreds of threads in Link sales section for buying and selling Dp links...Now Why do people buy sig links? Is it for Traffic or Pagerank? If it is for pagerank then, i dont think it is going to help that much as all the sigs from the posts is coming from the same website that is Dp..... Is it for Traffic? People tend to buy sig links from high posters( i.e someone with 1000 posts or whatever)...But the old posts they made would be already be buried with new posts so the old pots dont get any visibility..hence not much traffic..........So it is worth buying sig links for $15 a month when I have seen threads selling PR6 for $15 a month........I do believe I am missing some important advantage of sig links.......Can someone tell me,, is it worth it??
If you have a service digital point members would be interested in, buying forum signatures is a no brainer.
It is for both. The backlinks helps a site get indexed and some of the links count towards back links. It also gives then traffic because there site is seen by everyone on DP who reads a post by the signature seller. Even old post are seen when people are searching. The more posts someone has, the more they are likely to post in the future.
I have read postings from both sellers and buyers saying that they were surprised at how much traffic can come from DP signature links. I myself have just started selling some of my links and I do believe that the results work. Some people have claimed that they have received between 200-1000 links to their site from DP signatures...that's pretty good traffic for a sig. Maybe some of the owners of really big post counts (10,000 or more) will answer your question and show you if there is a bigger difference at those levels.
My directory before I sold it was making about 1200-1500 a month from DP refferals, whether a post, or a sig link. I only was spending 65 a month on those sig links, so DP was / is still a great advertising venue for paid directories. Any SEO products really.
that's a lot of money right there They may be worth the money for PR alone..but with webmaster related links traffic can be huge... I always click on sig links that interest me
Even my new blog gets hits from DP, and It has nothing to do with webmaster stuff. The first month I put it up, (2 months ago) the first half of the month, DP referrers lead my traffic, for about 15 days. It's still in the top 10. Definitely "kewel" It can help you get a jump start with a new site.
It's not simply the old records and posts. It's more about how active the member is in the forum. They basically carry your link to advertise for you as they make a post. I'm sure advertisers also check members' reputation, not just post number. Not for PR, but for traffic.
Here are twenty reasons to sell you signature links This is one of the better reasons for selling a link here on Digital Point. Buying links on other forums can also help, but one should generally keep topicality in mind. And the point was accented by what WunschShrek said. If you ROI is good, then buying is good, and if buying is good, generally selling is good. Though I must say, that recently the new average prices are a bit lower then what they have been in the past.
Some of the advantages: - targeted traffic - tons of links - anchor text on your choice I'm sure I'm missing something too. You can check the post / day details when buying sig links.
Thanks for the responses....Forum sigs do seem to work for most people...esp if they want to target webmasters...
if you have a service related to webmasters, you will get good traffic from dp signatures. and forum signatures will aso boost your backlinks and pr
