Why do number of LIKES not match

Hi, i added a LIKE button to my site and currently have 38 likes. But my face book page has 50? Why are they different?

Also, it appears as though facebook has automatically created another page, why?

I would appreciate your thoughts?

Did some of the likes appear from your page? The 38 likes are probably only the likes that have come as a result on people on your site and not your page.

 

This can't be, you need to check the URL of the like box you have installed on your site.

Yes its pretty obvious
50 is the number of likes to your Facebook group.. and
42 is the number of likes to your webpage...
They are 2 different entities.. can never expect both to be same.

 

I suppose the question is, should the numbers match, or is it correct as it is?
