Why do my SERPS alternate between good and unlisted on a daily basis?

I track a bunch of my top targetted keywords in Google, Yahoo and MSN almost daily. And just about every day some of them are either top 10-20 ranked, or completely off the list. The next day it will alternate - the top ranked ones will be delisted, the delisted ones will rank highly.

This has been happening for weeks now. Why do the KWs keep alternating between the top and the bottom so quickly?

Are we talking about all of the search engines? Or just Google. There seems to be a bit of flux still in Google but it "apprears" to be settling down.

Google, Yahoo and MSN, all according to DigitalPoint's keyword tracker.

One day I'm up, the next day I don't exist -- for that keyword. The sites don't get delisted entirely, they just stop showing up for the keyword. At least according to the DP tool.
