Why do most people in DP prefer MSN or AIM over Yahoo and GTalk? I never used to use MSN till a few days back and have never used AIM. Which IM do you use?
I use aim 'cause that's what my gf uses, and I don't see much difference in them anyway, but i'm not a big IM'er.
I use MSN messenger only. It is very much user friendly and simple. Yahoo Messenger is too much complex with so many features (it looks childish to me), never used any other messenger so so can't say anything about them.
Thanks a lot for your replies. I was a big fan of Yahoo msgr for a long time. For the last 1 or 2 months my attention changed to GTalk. And for the last few days, I'm using MSN. Well, to be frank I too have liked the interface of the latest Windows Live Messenger.
aim is buggy and requires alot of resources in my book. MSN is straight and to the point and doesn't have all that extra crap that us webmasters don't need.
aim because thats what my friends use and thats the only reason. but msn has some nice features, it also has a nice easy to use interface....and now you can send people on yahoo messages on msn, never used that gtalk or yahoo...
I hate Yahoo Messenger. It keeps crashing on me and keeps duplicating contacts. Pain in the backside. MSN rocks. Never a problem. Col
Using Yahoo Messenger and since i'm able to talk with people that use msn well i think i have absolutly no reasson to change
Nearly everyone i talk to is on MSN, occasionly i will sign into AIM but usually full of spam that people send to all their contacts
i use msn because its the one most used by my family and friends ... though now i m on aim because alot of ppl here prefer aim too.. yahoo messenger i try to keep the use to minimum because couple yrs ago yahoo messenger gave me lots of trouble from then on i never bothered with it.
