Why do most people hate hip-hop/rap music? And especially, the white people hate rap music. Can anybody explain this? And think about this. Actually, 70% of hip hop consumers are white.
It's probably the gangsta and general annoying personalities associated with people like fiddy and snoop. I can't stand it when rap just goes on about being a "G". I loves some of it, though that's probably classed more along the lines of Hip Hop. Can't beat Cypress Hill, The RZA, Jurassic 5 etc. Just got the People Under The Stairs album "OST" and loving it, want to check out some more of their stuff when I get the chance.
I don't think people actually hate rap or hip-hop....they just don't understand it....or in the worse case feel attacked by the message some of those songs contain.....just like glass.union said it just goes on about being a "G". So it's not hate....it's misunderstanding.
I think the mostly the younger generation look foward towards hip-hop/rap music bcoz of its reathem. But actually classical music helps to have a peaceful mind.I think that is why most people hate hip-hop/rap music
Well if they "hate" music that means they don't have a social life....how in the world can you hate someone who tries to say something....doesn't matter if it's good or bad, but in my opinion rap and hip-hop is just another form of free minded opinion...so who hates something he doesn't understand or doesn't want to well I really feel sorry for them. P.S. I listen to metal....so you see it doesn't matter what kind of music you listen as long as you don't judge other genres of it.
I Like Hip-hop And Rap, i think Some People Hate It because Theres Some Explicit content and words in It
Are you sure? I've heard a lot of decent music in rap and hip hop, including the ones I don't like. I doubt you care, but The RZA writes all of the music for his raps, plays most of the instruments on them and has not only done some instrumental tracks in the past but he's also released an instrumental album. I'm sure there's a lot of other rappers and hip hop groups that have the same type of thing going on.
I don't think most people hate it. As a mobile disc jockey, I always get customers who say "no rap" at their events. Yet, when the party or wedding gets started, and everyone is drunk on the dance floor--- people start requesting songs like "Baby Got Back" & "Funky Cold Medina" Where do you draw the line? I make my stand against HARDCORE GHETTO GANG-BANGER (C)RAP. I subscribe to a service called "Top Hits USA" which provides all of my music on Compact Disc, they do Radio Edits of all the songs, allowing me to play the current Hit Music at weddings or school dances. As long as there is no hard cursing in the song, its OK to play! And.......WHEN IS DR. DRE COMING OUT WITH THE "DETOX" CD? Its been TEN YEARS since Dre' came out with his own CD (Chronic 2000, released in 1999).
And I don't think Hip Hop is the same as Rap........they should not be lumped together. Hip Hop = bouncy, light, and fun. usually has a catchy musical chorus with a memorable hook, sample, or singing. Rap = darker, non-rhythmic, more ghetto. no singing, no catchy chorus. lots of cursing, misogyny, and hate.
I just deslike morons like 50Cent, but i really love Beastie Boys. Yo Anyway i am white (sort of) and there is a huge misunderstand about Rap and HipHop... Nowadays rap is a terminology to gansgta rap...
I prefer indie or even pop music to rap. i think raps crap because they dont sing, just talk.... and yes, im white
The reason I don't like it is because I cant understand what the people are saying and every other second they say "yo im so G"
