Hacking (unfortunately) and site development I can understand but SEO seems so businesslike and not actually fun. I like it from a professional point of view but if I was a kid again there are other techie things I'd do instead. Or is that just me...? I got to thinking about it after stumbling on this page: http://www.xb6.org/2006/11/19/tom-rusiana/ I'm not sure about the "interesting moments" but they certainly would be contenders for "youngest afficianado" in any country!
Way too young. But then again, there are those rare youngins. Maybe there's some sort of culture influence thing (there are very good SEO's in those countries). I just can't imagine kids from Canada being interested in SEO (especially at that age lol)
idk ... kids really do w.e gets them the most money ... and with their growing mind and imagination they can innovate the world and learn the techniques to get it to the best
My little brothers friend is in highschool and he is big in SEO. It just seems like a good way to make money without having to deal with a boss and a schedual.
That's awesome, especially since he started young (I wish I did too). I can see how SEO can be of interest to SOME kids. The challenge of getting high PR and traffic can turn into something fun if you're really into it
I ewish i started so young but i lost my youth hacking drinking beers and with girls if i would started business from then now probably i will be a milionaire ... ohh well i'm still young As for kids they might have nice ideas let's not forget Google Microsoft where build by young people just to set 2 exemples ... Good for them instead of taking drogs or drinking .....or making sex .... bether to do seo and other tech activitys
When I was a kid I had to work jobs around the house building character.. If I knew that the option existed I could have made a lot more money online, I bet its more interesting for a lot of people to play a game when its real and makes you real money. I know I'm more addicted to this then I ever was to a video game!
Well, I do remember I started with SEO when I was at the age of 14-15 and since then I had been gaining knowledge in SEO, Link Building and other webmaster related topic that I am now having enough knowledge which can make my living along with those extra requirements fullfilled for me. I dropped out of high school giving 1 Year break and am working as a full time webmaster doing SEO, Link Building and providing other services through our collobrated company. I truly feel, that if young ones start learning these topics from starting of there early age, then they will come out as being one of the best when they will gradually come at a mid 20s age. I myself being 17 turning 18 this 20th Feb Besides there are many webmaster here on DP with same age and also, much knowledge. Though, not everyone will go fulltime in this field.
What it breaks down to is kids want jobs, they want money.. Generally offline businesses just cost too much to start.. an online one can be started with absolutely no startup.. just go make a blogger.. or ask for a website and there you go. After a few months posting here (if your really addicted) you can start getting paid a good amount just for your sig.. likely more then i made for an allowance..
I think a lot of it is the challenge as well. SEO is almost like a video game ... see how high you can get your links in the rankings. The nice thing is that you can get the same kick as a video game, while making some money and learning. Win-win-win. Anita =)
