Why do I rank for my keyword misspellings??

I was looking at my search stats in Google webmaster tools, and for some reason I've got good rankings for some of my keywords, but only misspelled versions of those keywords. The strange thing is that the keywords aren't misspelled on my site. I can't figure this out. I guess it's good, but I can't get ranked for my keywords with the correct spelling, even though they're spelled correctly on my site. What's the deal here?

Google usually do it..shows which are on right also shows them in misspells to give better results.

 

You probably have misspelled keywords on your site or in backlinks to your site. That was the case with one of my sites.

 

Google is just filled with mystery, huh?

you should really check if your pages are optimized for the correct keywords..
other wise you can just say that this is another clear case of "Google magic:

 

Yeah I went back through most of my pages and ran spell check again. I didn't find any errors, but maybe there are some misspelled anchor text links floating around out there. This sucks. I'm working my arse off to get ranked for the "correct" spelling of my keywords and I'm making absolutely no progress.

 

I have added miss spelled words to several pages deliberately, just think what people may type in the seach box. Philippines is correct but many people may seach for Fillipines, Phillipnes, Philapines search engines will find you page with these 'mistakes'

 

Yes, but do most people spell it correct and will they think your site is unprofessional?

 

Yes I think that you made some mistakes in the blog titles or in the descriptions. Even I was ranking some days back for a misspelled version of Entertainment. LOL
