Why do i get so many referrers from WHOIS?

    How many do you get? Here, every single domain gets a bunch of referrers from WHOIS. Are people just curious and want to see who runs it? I might start paying for privacy protect because i really don't like all these people checking out my address and stuff. :eek:

    Same here.

    I'll even notice a domain that is BARELY even indexed by google and just registered a little while ago - got a click through whois...

    Could this be something automatic?

    I hope it is. I cant think of anything though. Unless its DNS related.

    I get the same thing as well. It could be some script that someone has running. I don't know what they are doing with the info but I think it is an automated process.

    I do notice that when I crack a google search I get a bunch of whois queries, but I think that is just people in the top 10 wanting to see who the new guy is.
