I have stop promoting forex about a month ago. From my other articles I have made about a sale a week. 4 Sales in the last month - Every single one of those sales has been refunded! Like 250 dollars - Why does it have such a high refund rate? Does the product suck or something?
Probably a bad product, I'm also interested which product is it, we should share this kind of information on this forum about which product gets a lot of refunds
Yep.... Which products dude? We are all interested....thanks in advance for keeping us informed, at least your are not promoting with PPC...
I think it generally has a high refund rate, but it is definitely the product if it's always being refunded. There's no shame in telling us which is crappy.
Ya, as soon as customers lose money with these "autopilots" or "systems" they are obviously furious and will refund. Thats why I hated that niche and got out of it.
Uhhh if the refund rate is that high I don't think it can be ruined any further lol. But regardless, the forex niche is one of the highest if not the highest refund rate niches on clickbank. I wonder why?
Uh oh hornet, I think you gave it away. My advice anyway is to cut off forex cold turkey. You leave up all your old stuff ofcourse and if you get refunds, you get refunds. Nothing you can do about it. If you do make a sale that actually sticks, just think of it as a windfall.
No harm done hornet, I've had the refund debate a dozen or more times so far and as much as I'd love to delve into this to save face there isn't much I can say. I'll try to spin the ball here for you to simply say a few things from the other end of the field: Some affiliates have an absolutely horrible time with the forex products, by no fault of their own. Some get tons of refunds like you did, some never make a sale, it's definitely one of - if not THEE riskiest niche on the marketplace. I try to be fair and help where possible yes, however I'm not green to the refund rate or the way most publishers operate with refunds. So another NONperk is that if customers have lost money and ask us for a refund, we literally do a no questions asked no hassle refund, it's a part of the pitch and cb rules... When you deal with financial products and someone is unhappy like stated above, they will refund, and we won't question it or ask why, it's just good business and karma. So speaking of karma, we've also had affiliates that have made well over 20K now in the last 2-3 months, THEY get a lot of refunds too. Unfortunately mate - every - single - product - on - clickbank gets refunds. Granted the fx niche does get more than most, it also pays more than most, so risk balance and end of the day profits for big earners still weighs in our favor by a mile. It's fuct that you got 4 sales and all 4 returned, that's just bad, sorry for what it's worth and while I won't really try to do too much damage control here I do wish they weren't refunded mate, sorry. I'll also note that once you jump around a bit and start to promote other stuff, you will indeed notice that you'll get refunds with every publisher. Eventually you might even come back to forex one day... many have, once they weigh the risk and execute properly with the sensitive niche/sale process that forex is. Last thing I'll mention is that our sites are customer friendly and still get less refunds than our comps. Cheers, N.
Well, I have many other niches - I just get so happy when I get an 80 dollar sale randomly, then see it get taken away time after time makes me angry
I understand, believe me I see the refunds too and they hit my pocket as well. As you know I have 3 new products launching all in different niches and none in the forex niche so perhaps one of them will be better suited for you. But I know you have a sour taste in your mouth right now from these refunds so I encourage you to scout around and promote whatever is clever to see how the ball rolls for you for a while... N.
It's simple really. Check out the refund rate of the product first. If it's poor then don't promote it. If it's normal (~10%) but you are getting higher refunds then you are probably preselling it all wrong. Making exaggerated claims or even plain lying. I've seen people do this. No wonder the buyer is pissed off and asks for a refund.
there's often people that seem to quote them in these forums though ... so they must be somewhere? anyone? for what it's worth, i can imagine a lot of people buy forex products thinking it'll be instant cash, and when they realise it's not, they pull out ... the same way perhaps a lot of people come to IM thinking they'll be millionaires overnight and realise it's not quite that easy ...
Forex is actually very hard to master and you can easily lose a lot of money so I can see why people would want a refund...
They don't do the work for you but the marketplace has enough info to work it out for yourself. http://cbhelper.com/refund-calculator.html
