I have added several times my website to Dmoz, I guess first one was 18 months ago, then I added a few times as well . Is there any wrong with it ?

How are we supposed to know? What is the site.

Most suggested sites to DMOZ are not listable.

Perhaps your site does not meet the editor's quality standards. Work on improving your site.

As a Dmoz editor myself, we get swarmed with submissions. Apart from submissions that do not follow the guidelines, there are too many submissions that get submitted into the wrong category. If that happens, if the editor doesn't want to be bothered sending your submission to the correct category, he may just delete your submission.

If you submit a website to a category without a listed editor, your submission could be sitting in that category until you die. So 1, don't hold your breath, 2, try to submit to categories that have editors while making sure your category is on topic, and lastly 3, make sure you follow the guidelines as to not agitate the elitist editors!

I don't think multiple submissions will help. Check the FAQ and guidelines for your particular subsection of DMOZ. Your site might not pass the guidelines. You can always use the "contact an editor" feedback system to get more answers. Keep in mind the editors are just volunteers, regular people who come and go in those positions.

Yeah its something difficult to understand about DMOZ one of website Agrians.com got listed into it when it was quite young i mean not more then a month and not having a good PR and its still there on the other when i had tried a good PR and heavy traffic site they hadn't listed it which is itbuzz. I think they prefer volunteer work rather then business websites.

Some categories at DMOZ are abandoned and listing out-dated sites. If you suggested your site to such category, most probably your submission is in the queue and will never be reviewed.

Other categories are maintained by honest and well-intentioned editors who will review your site and list it if meeting the guidelines. But there are just a few of them in there. And may be overloaded of work.

Other categories are run by editors suspected of corruption or self-promotion. They won't list a site competing with their own interests or interests of people related to them in any way.

No matter which kind of category your site fell under. There is no much you can do but forget you ever knew about DMOZ :)

Another important thing to remember about DMOZ is they have an automated robot that checks all links to make sure they are still working. If the robot gets back an error like 404 not found or 500 server error or whatever, the link is taken out of public view and placed back in review mode for the editors. Until the link is checked again it will stay "hidden" from public view.

Ok, that is said to be true. But, what has that to do with this thread? If you read it, you'll see we are talking about a link not getting accepted.

You should have just submitted once and then forget about it, because DMOZ is really slow in approving sites. This is a fact well-known to webmasters.

pretty common with DMOZ, probably a lazy editor or someone you need to bribe. This is one of the reasons DMOZ shouldn't have any business deciding who gets into the Google directory (which is more important than DMOZ by the way in relation to SEO).

I have tried on many occasions to apply but no luck so far. I was an editor over 10 years ago but cannot recall my login.

Is this a polite insult? How many times do your reckon mavyes (or anyone else) needs to read the guidelines again before understanding?
