Why DigitalPoint is Dead?

This forum used to be soo much fun. I saw it today its dead
What happened?

 

Users moved over to social media and Reddit.
Very sad to see indeed, but I think it's only a question of time before it's closed down.

There's only a few active forums on the Internet now and their days are counted as well.

 

Can't be really do something for this forum?

 

I think it's out of our power honestly and not even the mods can save it if there isn't a big change.

The site still does have traffic though and with the right actions the slow and steady decline can be changed.

 

Hope any mods or admin say something about it.

 

I would love to contribute to DP.

 

There have been similar posts about it already.

 

I've recently arrived back also however only drop in every few days :-(

i notice the same , probably members start use other platforms .

 

Maybe if admins introduce new threads here, that might be helpful?

 

I guess everyone moved on to reddit. Which is weird, BHW managed to stay alive but almost all other related forums seem to be dead now

 

All forums right across the board are dying a slow death. Oddly enough penpal sites are seeing a huge dramatic increase in traffic, with thousands of young teenagers and preteens joining daily. I was viewing one of those sites the other day, that has over 280,000 members worldwide.

 

I added that troll account to my ignore list. I needn't name it. But he knows.

 

True BHW is still alive and active

 

Carbon neutral websites, or some climate friendly threads, whale watching. Maybe crypto, metals, or similar. Just a thought.

 

Perhaps, the new “forums” tabs on google search will eventually boast the activity of forums back up.
