I don't know, Why Digital Point forum placing the "nofollow" in signature links for all replies and posts ? Is there need any requirements & rules?
So, i have the doubt about that, here is no use for backlinks to put our site URL as regular member, right?
Most blogs and forums are no follow now these days, for the same reason: spam. Managing/moderating a forum is not easy, especially when you get to be as large as DP. So you find ways to extinguish it, or at least limit it.
I think the policy of putting the rel = "nofollow" of the links (excluding the premium members' signature) is a very brilliant idea. Since I got to this forum, 3-4years ago, the number of spammer is increased day by day.
@lifeplayer I agree with you. For famous forum like DP, it is not easy to manage the links and moderating the forum Really appreciate mods of DP
You can still get backlinks from DP but no link juice will be passed on your site, so you don't get any help with your page rank. But again, you get a backlink and traffic to your site by participating in DP and other forums so it is still worth it in the end.
I agree with policy of DP but after almost 90% people coming here to get backlinks in the form of signature and to make their site popular by participating in various blog discussion and also they can offer service to others.
Upgrading to paid membership seems to be one of the best way to get maximum out of seo effors in terms of back links. Hope one who is considered about his back links and have number of post in DP should opt for Paid membership.
Indeed i agree with everyone who replied. let me know the forums which are have do-follow link for my blog promotion, and i'm looking forward other useful tips to backlinks for Pagerank too.
