Why in-bound links to the web-site www.sportiana.com in signature here at Digital Point are not evident in Google and other SEs? The signature's is present for over a week, there's in-bound link from Blogger.com blog and yet another forum, none of which is evident when typing the site's name in SEs! Also, what determines how often Google will visit web-sites, with my other sites, Google visits the sites every 2-3 months(as shown in google.com/webmaster tools), site-maps are set for the SEs to browse the sites 'always' or priority 0.9 and similar, none of which worked.
They show up in your "Webmaster Tools - Dashboard", but I'm not sure if they show up when doing the "link:" search... Personally, I think the benefit to having links in your signature is more geared towards the traffic then the incoming links.... But that's an opinion I haven't seen any big PR jumps, or search engine ranking jumps for any sites I have in my signature...
Are you looking with the webmaster tools, or using the link: operator? The link: operator only shows a small percentage of all inbound links, while the webmaster tools are only updated with links every 30 days or so.
None in-bound link is evident in google.com/webmaster tools. To type sportiana.com in SEs turns no traces of site being mentioned elsewhere, on places such as Digital Point, another Forum and Blogger, it's said Blogger's blog is the fastest way for the word(s) to be evident in Google's Search, still not the case with the site mentioned above.
Well given that you have only mentioned your site having one backlink, google isnt going to be in any rush to go visit the site!
You need to give more time to search engines when they completely index all the backlinks and start showing them. And you will be having more amount of backlinks in Yahoo rather then Google.
