Why didn't Obama choose Hillary Clinton as his running mate?

    Since every President has never been President prior to becoming President, every single President has learned on the job, in my opinion. This notion, "ready on Day 1," is a myth, it seems to me. I take it as a net positive that someone acknowledges he is coming in with an active mind, and a willingness to listen, to be honest. We've had 8 years - long enough - of "certitude." I never took it as a fault that Obama's style is apparently a willingness to listen to disparate views, and to learn what he doesn't know. This style was discussed with respect to the primaries, and I noted it early on as a positive thing, for me, at least.

    Oddly my ex (from long ago) and Hillary have come to resemble each other so much that when Hillary speaks I check the podium to see if theres a broom present somewhere... force of habit to see that she has a ride home.
