I have Bandoftheweek.com, a music site that gets over 60k hits per month... they have rejected me each time, any idea why so i can fix it?
YPN doesn't seem to like entertainment-related sites. Probably because they have very few ads for it. Try applying with a more tech-minded site/blog.
My site was accepted and it is entertainment related. I just think they wanna make sure there is enough textual content on the website though.
They accepted me for a blog.. oddly enough.. after I tried half a dozen sites in a wide variety of topics over 3 or 4 months.
Curious. What is the narrow niche of your entertainment site? (No need to give verse and URL, but just to narrow it down.) I see a lot of ads for Nascar, Golf, and Ashley Tisdale ads. I ask because I applied with an entertainment site a numbe rof times (movie-heavy) and it wasn't accepted. It wasn't until I applied with a tech site that they said Yes.
well when I applied it was only about 2 weeks after YPN first opened back in 2005. The site I applied with was for a fansite for a music artist and at the time the site only probably got like 600 uniques per day.
That would be a very good explaination because the YPN spiders would need to spider your content to show proper ads. They cant do that if you require people to login in order to view it.
I got and sold aout 3 YPN accounts. all on sites that were getting less than 30 uniques per day. I think YPN is completely random
