Why did you start a blog?

What were your reasons for starting a blog? Do you just like blogging or did you do it because you knew there was money in it? Or maybe you're getting paid to do it. Is it your career? Are you a writer and just don't have anything else better to do?

Hi, I don't have my site up yet because I would like more personalization than a WordPress theme. Like robyries though I want to combine my passions (hobbies) with my past technology skills... although that was mainly networking not web design and internet marketing :D

Well the only reason I wasn't doing it before is because I was under the impression that individual blog type sites couldn't be realistically profitable and everybody needs to make a living!

I now realize thought that If you know what you're doing they can be so I'm just starting up now. How about you?

I think it mostly relies on the domain name, and I found the right domain name so I feel more confident that I will be successful. I also believe in high quality, unique content that readers will enjoy reading. Nevertheless, I am doing because I think it has potential. I would otherwise live with regret.

No not at all. Keywords in your domain name can definitely help your search results, but it's not as influential as in the past. Your website content, presentation and your SEO is what matters. You should go for it if you are comitted to it.

I gotta be honest I started a blog because I wanted to make money online. But as I learned more about blogging and SEO I started to love it. I also enjoy helping others achieve their goals in this area and that is now the main reason why I blog today.

It become a passion if you enjoy it and you start getting things right.

    Great Forum question man! ;)

I started a blog because I wanted a personal journal of my fitness progress. I've also posted a few tips that can help others here and there, but I'm mainly concerned with taking notes and personal progress.

I set up and run a blog because I want to share with another people my photograph. I don't want to keep photos in my dysk, nice is here some comments about it and of course is nice when people like it.

funny you should ask, I just created my blog today and wrote my first post. I don't have any experience with blogging, but my purpose for blogging was to document all the actions Im taking on a daily basis to create a passive income online. I never thought I would have liked blogging, but its fun to learn. Great question

You can start a blog for numerous reasons.
Maybe a hobby or maybe a money making machine.
    You choose :)

If its for both then its the perfect combination.
