Why did you become a DMOZ editor?

I became a DMOZ editor because

  1. I am idealistic and wanted to be a part of something great.

  2. I wanted to get my own site listed and it took too long.

  3. I wanted to get my site in, my friends' sites, eliminate my competition, get pay offs and so on.

  4. A combination of 1 and 2. I believe in DMOZ, but what motivated me was to get myself listed ASAP.

    The directory is currently experiencing technical problems and the "become an editor" link is one of the areas affected. When everything is back to normal, someone will post to let everyone know. Until that time, I recommend that you study the editing guidelines and locate three sites that would belong in the category you are interested in editing.
