I dont get it, my http://www.effectofglobalwarming.com/ site got banned from Google after being #1 for over a year. This happened 2 months ago, and i still have my PageRank of 4...

    All unique content, etc etc.

CAN ANYONE HELP? No i did not recently buy links, or change anything matter a fact.

How can you defend yourself if you dont know whats wrong?

yes of course site can't be seen on "effects of global warming" keyword. But I think it's google dance. Wait for 1 week more. You will get previous position again.

This could be due to some new tweak they introduced to their algo. How long has it been disappeared from rankings? Your site is still in Google's index but may got a penalty. Make couple of related links and try resubmitting your sitemap.

Could be as they update their bots, you must update your site SEO to accomodate them.

Oh it's for 2 months. Then Just follow nessie's tips. Then go to 'Request reconsideration' in Google Webmaster tools and explain everything.

I'm in the same situation with a PR 4 site that has completely disappeared from the rankings in Google. I believe that we both may be suffering from some kind of penalty but it is hard when you don't know for sure what Google doesn't like. I read through their Webmaster guidelines again in great detail and made some changes to my site that I thought could perhaps be the problem and then I submitted a reconsideration request via Webmaster tools. I'm hoping that my site comes back at some point but in the meantime I'm still adding content and trying to find some other sources of organic traffic. Good luck!

If it's two months then it's a penalty. Well, you can think of few approaches.

    1. Try to reduce the keyword density. You can redo the site structure / anchor texts.
    2. Port the site to wordpress or similar cms.
    3. Get few but quality related links with few anchor texts.
    4. Resubmit the site via webmaster tools.

If it fails to rank after a month or so - Try a reinclusion request.

Did you make any changes before the reinclusion request? It doesn't work just because you made a request. Need to cover possible issues resulted in a penalty.

Alot of the time, its the Google bots which re-index your site from time to time. Its all in the algorythms..and sometimes, there is nothing you can do about it. Just be happy it wasn't sandboxed.
