The last match that was beween india and sri lanka which india won with a bonus point was great but there was something too much bad .Sehwag could not complete his century and that too because of randiv's intentional no ball.It is good when a team needs one run to win and you offer a wide ball and they win.But sri lanka were one step ahead and they prevented his century in a very bad and unethical way.It would be somewhat digested if some other team had done this. But india had not done this when murali was on the verge of history. The last batsman could have been hit wicket on some other bowleres ball but we did not do this.We played fair and murali did make history due to our fair play.It is not that sri lanka should have thanked us or must have given us the credit but at least they should have played the fair way in even smaller occasion.sympathies with sehwag
Sehwag was denied his century not by the Kumar-Suraj combine, but by scorers and umpires who were clearly asleep and/or ignorant of the rules. A ball, to be deemed bowled, has to be delivered; the batsman has to play/miss it; in the case of the former the ball has to be retrieved while the batsman runs, or not…there is no provision in cricket for declaring a result, and ending a match, at some intermediate stage of this process. Thus, for umpires to declare that the game was over as soon as Randiv overstepped is plain folly. To understand this, consider a hypothetical situation: Randiv bowls. It is a no-ball. Sehwag decides the game is over, lets the ball go and walks off. Sangakkara collects and whips off the bails. Is the batsman out? Of course he is. The extra run cannot be counted until the ball in question is officially dead; in our example Sehwag left his crease while the ball was in play, therefore he is out. So, if his dismissal off a no ball counts, why were the runs he scored off that no ball not counted to his name?
Randiv don't know about cricket rules. Even Empire are doubting to add runs to Sehwag. I think ICC should educate all about cricket rules.
another great ting to be known is that randiv has never bowled a no ball.maybe thats wy he could not hide the intentional no ball and gave a considerable long no ball
I think he have done this to avoid a century of the sehwag but its not good sportsman spirit whats wrong if someone get century?
And what if india had done that to murali when he was going to achieve the historic landmark.India was 9 wickets down and the last batsman could have got hit wicket on any other bowlers ball
Randiv is a fine young player but little immature to have thought of sportsman spirit earlier. Hope this incident would have made him a bit better in playing a fair game and in true spirit! Regards, RightMan
I guess... it has been reported that Dilshan urged him to bowl a no ball and so was awarded a penalty for it. I have not read anything about Sangakarra being involved! It pains to see Dilshan lashing such treatment to his team mate of Delhi daredevils! Regards, RightMan
Randiv not do well,by putting a no ball to sehwag showing his bad mentality. But after a game end randiv said sorry to sehwag and sehwag century also consider.
I think he wants to stop someone making a century so he did it, but its ok not we have to close this talk and get ready for new one
