Why did I got penalized?

My site was ranking on first page for the word oscilloscope, and from day to night it went to the last page, now it is 997: http://www.google.com/search?q=osci...,GGGL:2006-27,GGGL:es&start=990&sa=N&filter=0

It's not a penalty it's just the way it works. Some day your top and some day your bottom, it's the google bump!

 

err but I am the #997 result.. that must be a penalty..

 

Did you purchase adwords to get to the top, and how long were you there?

If you didn't pay and it was just a day or two, it was the ol bump , it's kinda of fluke in Googles System.

i think u have to wait for some day it will be back soon,is your backlinks count decreased or it is same?
just keep doing link building for that keywords.

 

i think you should check your site ranking every day, if this will continue in 1-2 weeks it must be a penalty.

 

This happened to me too, just wait and you'll be back on top in a few days.

 

It's been happening for a long time at google. The keyphrase on which i used to rank at #1, now ranks at #71. And I have the same number of backlinks.

 

This might be temporary. Check after a few days.

 

yeah i agree with you. it is just like my web directory. it keep going down each day. last time (three days ago) i checked my web directory ranking in term of "seo friendly web directory" and it is appeared on the 2nd page, now it gone somewhere...I don't think it is a penalized.
