Why Did I get an Infraction?

    Hi there, I'm trying to understand this infraction I got from a post I made today.
    I'm not understanding what I did wrong.

    Not complaining, just don't want to repeat it. I got one a few months back and didn't understand then either.

    You posted you sent an email.  Posts telling you sent a PM or email serve no purpose as recipient knows, the reader does not care.  Such posts only server to bump thread. 

    Other type post to avoid are:
    I'm interested.
    Send details.

    Any post that is pertinent only to you and thread starter.

    Thank for the info! I'm going to look over it and figure out what I did wrong.

    I think the one from a few months back was putting something like 'I'm interested.' I'll avoid that.

    This one was in the Adwords section, someone was asking where to get coupons. I have some I would give away (free), and posted I'd do that. I guess this was viewed as me trying to sell it to him and was told to post in the Vouchers section. I kinda understand this, but I was just trying to be helpful, not profit.

    But another question that comes to mind, do the users report me for infractions or is that something a moderator noticed and reported?

    I can't image why that one user would report me for trying to help him, so I assume it was an admin. Not complaining, just want to understand.

    Could be anyone. :) A user can also report posts which do not follow TOS of DP or else a moderator can directly clean the post. :)

    Sometimes we trip over bad posts or find them when cleaning up the posting history of another user.
