    Can anyone here help?

My site was ranked #2 for one of keywords and suddenly I do not see it no where near 10 pages of search results.

I have not done anything funky or black hat in long time.

What could possibly be the reason, will I ever see my site back again.

    Thanks in advance

It can happen. Did you do anything major with your site ? If not, wait for a week or two- your site should be back at the top if you haven't openly violated any rules.

It's happened to a lot of sites recently, especially directories. Any chance your site sells paid links? Mind showing us the URL? Thanks :)

It happens from time to time. Check to see if your site is still indexed via the "site:<your site>" command. If it is, then your site should come back at the max a couple of weeks, sometimes a little more.

The url is : www dot movie-download-sites dot com

If has PR3 and none backlinks have been brought in last 3-4 months, although added couple of pages as I normally do.

Some pages are still ranked on page 1

Just finished going through something like that, my highest paying sites dissappeared for a week then suddenly came back in the index where they usually are. A friend calls it the Google Flux though I think he is being polite by adding the "L".

Not sure why it happens but I'm doing some experimenting to see if I can avoid it in the future. The experiment is taking five sites made with xcitepro and changing them over to a wordpress blog. As I've never had a WP blog disappear, I'm curious to see if that will keep the pages from doing the 'Google flux'.

It happened to my site as well. I was on page 1 and 2 for some keywords. Now I can't find them at all. I am glad to hear it is just "google flux".
