Why did Adsense do this?

Did anyone notice that the adsense ads can now be clicked only through the headline or the url. This is affecting Adsense revenues big time.. Is this a temporary thing?

old news my friend, very old news. its so that the adwords advertisers save more money, because there are less accidental clicks. this means they will be spending less money then before, so they will maybe up their bids abit. this means that you may get more money per click, even though your ctr is less.

I think bid price will never go up. This change is only for small publishers. Not for the big ones. (about.com,linkedin.com.....gmail.com).

How Google is going to help advertisers by doing this only for small publishers.

I tripled my CTR by rearranging the ads placement.
