Well, coming straight to the point - I have been observing the domain name sales for last 5-6 months and I am quite surprised with the prices the .de domain names are fetching. What makes me curious is that these .de domain names are getting higher prices than even .nets in most of the cases.Even the ones with hyphen are getting good prices at domain marketplaces. Here are some examples: USATravel.de $5,580 GoodGrip.de $4,340 pro-8.de $1,240 (You can check the sales history at DNJournal.) And if you carefully observe, lots of domain names not even worth $xx are getting $x,xxx. My question is - is this some sort of a hype by the domain name pros? OR is it that most of the domainers are from Germany (not logical reason at all, but still)? Please share your thoughts.
<english words>.de getting such prices? Maybe Germans are fed-up with Deutsch. maybe goodgrip and pro-8 are trade names or trademarks. USATravel price is reasonable i guess... Now are we trying to create a .de hype? Uggh i used all my money to buy those 3D domains
yeah, I saw the samething about .DE: really lots of sales with this extension. Lots of time I check out if the .DE is available...
actually goodgrip.de took me to the Deutsch version of sedo!!! Strange isn't it? Why would some one buy a .de name for 4,300$ and redirect it to sedo.de? LOL Its funny and strange Yeah, my guess is that this could be a hype by some group maybe(maybe selling and purchasing their own names), don't understand why German ccTLD getting such high prices for English name domains. :O
I just think that this domain extension was in great demand so when it came out people got overexcited. I don't think they'll be paying the same prices after, say, 5 years.
