    I've found that by doing three updates a week is enough to make my page appear at high places in Google's search results. But updates must be useful and must increase the quantity of information that exists on your page. Other useful hints are taking good care of spelling and grammatic and TO AVOID duplicate content at your page. Everything must be new, original, not spun material.

    I've seen recently created (from a month or so) sites with N/A rank and TWELVE backlinks according to Alexa indexing, at the first place of SERPS just because they have been constantly creating new, original content and making minor changes on a daily basis.
