We all know cricket game was invented by English. But i wonder why its not popular in United states and Europe. Because its a biggest viewing game in Asia, Australia and Africa and England. How come United States left out from it. strange.
Gaining traction in the competitive sports market is tough. You only have to look at football the world game which is finding it hard to compete with other sports in the US. The mainstream sports market will always be dominated by sports with big stars like the NFL/NBA etc.
They haven't marketed cricket properly there..How will you explain playing a game for 5 days and still show no result for the same..It's hard to digest.. With 20-20 they should be able to atleast penetrate the market somewhat, but denting NBA/NFL would be very tough and Europeans love their football, cricket can never take over football by any chance..
Well recent football matches seems some scam going with refrees. Example: Barcelona vs chelsea . The refree's are called paid refree's they support barcelona. so the football's creditability is tested by these bad refree's. But every one knows football is the most lovable game in the world. Remember Not even 5% of people watch NBA AND NFL IN ASIA.
I live in Europe and I don't think anyone that i know has ever played cricked. Really have no idea why it is like that :0
