Why Christians suck at reporting the news (proof)

Ok my error, my comments were suppsed to be in general and for my best friend on this thread, my error as i didnt notice who started the thread.

 

no offense taken pingpong but please try to stay on topic. This thread has nothing to do with discussion of athiests it is about how the fundamentalist Christian media attempted a dangerous form of censorship and they wound up with egg on their face.

This is not an "honest" mistake because evidently the American Family News Network wanted to homogenize (pardon the pun) their own media and replaced the word "gay" with "homosexual" which I personally have no idea why they would do that ??? The word "gay" itself has only been used in reference to homosexuals since the 1920's and pretty much only in the larger US cities. When most parents have their child ask them "What is gay?" most parents are not going to say "oh, that's a homosexual", in fact, most parents will tell the child that "gay means happy".

There's a more sinister issue at point here and it has to deal with the reasons why the term was censored and replaced by a more "clinical" term. It might have something to do with genetic testing if you catch my drift.

As the one fool posted here that "gay is a disease", I hope that person never, ever, ever has children or ever is around any that he/she could pollute their impressionable minds. When people start talking about genetics related to sexual preferences it invokes visions of Josef Mengele who was part of Adolf Hitler's "Final Solution".

If people don't open their eyes and stop falling for this kind of crap, the next thing you know they'll be going around stitching pink triangles to people's shirts and dragging them off to rehabilitation camps.

and btw, I definitely agree with Ron Paul's stand on the gold standard and abolishing the fed.

 

Agreed, and i have always been against this kind of biased reporting. Jesus preached separation of state and government so i dont consider fundamentalists real christians anyway.

 

I think the whole Athiest/Religion debate is a none starter, Personally I have no issues against those who believe in a particular religion but I think in this day and age the world would be a lot better off if all religion was systematically removed from the human race. (The religion not the humans)

Personally I don't think this thread had a hidden agenda it was just making fun of something funny that had happened, it is the christians own fault that they give us so many of these opportunities

@pingpong - Religion and government are supposed to be separate entities under the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. 100% agreed that the vast majority of Christian fundamentalists are not true Christians because they can't even practice the most basic philosophies of Jesus Christ such as "He who is without sin cast the first stone". Not to mention, look how many supposed "Christians" have been caught with their pants down in gay sex scandals.

@ThisIsOli - If we eliminated religion from the human race, what hope would the poor lost souls have? We all know religion was born as the cavemen were staring at the stars in the dark of night and wondering what place we hold as human beings in a universe we don't understand. Those early cave-people told their children stories by the campfire at night of how the universe was created and those stories were written down into religious texts used to divide and conquer one human family into warring tribes.

The sad part is that hopeless people donate millions of dollars to these organizations who use the money to put lobbyists in the government so they can fuel their initiative of hatred. In the meantime, they can't raise enough money to find a cure for AIDS or to end world hunger.
