Why choose 2checkout over paypal??

I read many topics on paypal vs 2checkout to figure out why a merchant would prefer 2checkout over Paypal, but its still not clear to me.

    So i start another one.

I see many mechants offer only 2checkout and wonder why they choose 2checkout over Paypal?

Paypal offers credit card processing, no Paypal account is needed, lower fees and is available in 87 countries.

    Fees
    2checkout 5.5% + $0.45
    Paypal 1.9% to 2.9% + $0.30 USD

Maybe someone who is using 2checkout can comment on this.

I personally don't like 2checkout. Their fees are high and they have many restrictions. Stick with PayPal.

Well paypal is bad for sellers too.. more chances of charge backs and they support buyers in most cases

With "charge backs" you mean refund claimed by buyers?
If so, its would be better for a bad seller to use 2checkout i guess.

Paypal is the best, at least in India. In my opinion PayPal is far more better than others.

With 2CO, the buyer doesn't need an account to make a payment. This is one advantage over PayPal.

If you check overall where paypal is not available then 2checkout is best as its available worldwide. The only thing is their fees but for me they do provide excellent services too. Specially their recurring payment feature.

Anyone with a credit card can make payments via Paypal without having an account, so that is no longer a advantage.

OK, so 2 points to 2checkout:

    1. If you live in Pakistan
    2. Accept paypal via 2checkout where paypal is not available

    Anything else?

I wouldn't use 2checkout because of the $49 setup fee, which I feel is too expensive. PayPal has no setup fee and its per-transaction fees are much cheaper. However, some people have reported PayPal limiting accounts for no reason at all and losing all their money. I prefer PayPal due to the pure cost of 2CO.

    I just hate 2CO!

I am waiting for my payment over 3 weeks.. It has been postponed due to inspection of fraud..

And nobody knows when they will make my payment..

So, I strongly recommend PayPal.. No signup fee, faster and more..

I just think that I waste 49$ to signup with 2CO.
