Why can't I put something in my signature?

I've been a member for 8 days now, i've got over 10 posts, and haven't broken any "rules". I want to start backlinking my website in my signature. but when i click on edit sig in settings it just shows me a list of guidelines.

Please advise

 

You need to post more. Maybe around 30+ post. Do post more and you will be able to edit your signature.

 

ok, also, lets say i finally get a signature. and i make 10 posts with the following text: 123456789

then after these 10 posts i change the signature to: abcdefg

will my original 10 posts be the numbers or will it be changed to the letters?

because backlinkers offer backlinks in their signature. but i don't want them to go away after they have changed their sig.

please advise.

 

no it will not

 

when you change your signature, the change is made in your profile so all the posts having your signature will be changed. you will have the updated signature on all the posts, both previous and present
