You must have a certain number of posts before that is allowed. Read the FAQ http://forums.digitalpoint.com/faq.php . Shannon
Smyrl gave the link but here is an even more direct one: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/faq.php?faq=dp_faq#faq_posting_guidelines Cheers
Doesn't that seem to sum up too many new "members" though? Its like they just walked out of yahoo chat and forgot how to type a complete thought.
More than you know. And it's especially obvious since peeg started this thread and then attempted to make like 30 posts.
Rob is the local "'I will find your crappy posts and duplicate accounts, and I will kill your family' moderator."
I have noticed the number of people with 5-10 posts banned. I figured that was the reason, but glad to know the position has an official title to it
Me? I suppose I should focus more on my own post count. I would have like 13,000 posts by now. It's time to pass the torch (the SS patch) to the robot-mod!
Actually, I'm working on something where we can trigger pretty large earthquakes on demand. Couple that with the ability to pinpoint the users with IP geolocation, and we should have a moderator button to shake apart any specific user's home town soon.
I've been wanting to ask this... for the last couple of weeks I am seeing a HUGE number of banned posters... what is happening? Are they morons that get banned and sign up again? Duplicate accounts? Any other reason? Glad to see the mods working hard, but this seems like a plague
I don't think the actual relative number of banned people increases, just the absolute number that increases geometrically with the similar style overall growth.
huh? English please... I have seen loads of members with 100 or more posts suddenly banned, that's why I am wondering what is happening
That's what I figured... but spotting them after 100 posts doesn't seem quite right, they should get the boot right after signing up. I guess the script that Shawn has in mind would be very helpful
