Why can't I post in contests?

I've been a member for over a year now, and for some reason I can't post a contest. Do I have to make over 25 post in general to be able to post in contest? How do I know how many posts I've made thus far?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yes you need to make more posts before you can make posts in any of the forums of http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=24

look at the top right corner to know your posts.
