Are there restrictions and such that don't allow 'peons' a.k.a. new members to post in the 'buy/sell domains'? Does it have to do with the insufficient number of posts or not being a paid member?

It's to stop spammers and scammers from posting. They end up turning to other categories though. Not for long though. Mods are on to them pretty quickly. It's all aimed to keep this site fairly clean. Col

No you are not a spammer. Just make sure you stick around here for a while and post a little untill you reach 25 posts then try again
