Why can't I post in 'Buy/Sell Domains'? : (

Are there restrictions and such that don't allow 'peons' a.k.a. new members to post in the 'buy/sell domains'? Does it have to do with the insufficient number of posts or not being a paid member?

Clue: Read the message you get when you try to post or read the FAQ. Amazing what you can learn when you read the manual.

It's to stop spammers and scammers from posting. They end up turning to other categories though. Not for long though. Mods are on to them pretty quickly. It's all aimed to keep this site fairly clean.

    Col :)

I am labeled being a spammer for trying to post my one and only domain on sale!?

Below is what it writes, I hoped someone could point out for me if there's one thing I miss to accomplish in order to post, a lot of requirements in that subforum, my common sense doesn't seem to be working and I'd like to post the domain hopefully sooner than later.

    .......................................

daylight, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
Certain forums have specific requirements for posting, which you can find here.

If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

While there are very few specific posting guidelines, so please use common sense.
You must have been a member for 7 days, not have an overall red reputation and have 10 total posts to post in the Website Review forum.

It can take up to an hour for your new permissions to be active.

You must have been a member for 14 days, not have an overall red reputation and have 25 total posts to post in the Buy, Sell or Trade forum (which includes link exchanges).

It can take up to an hour for your new permissions to be active.

Start new threads in the most relevant forum category.

Don't create posts with nothing but a link. If you are going to link to a news article for example, give a summary of it.

Unless it's earth shattering news, don't post press releases.

It's okay to promote your own things, but wait until you have contributed something useful (posts-wise) to the forum.

Don't create threads about random news. Anything more than one thread per day that is from a news source will be deleted.

Personal attacks against people, or sites will not be tolerated. If you have an issue with someone or their site, take it up with them personally.

Don't "bump" threads and don't post duplicate threads.

Don't spam the forum with things like:

Affiliate links (they are allowed in signatures though)

Nothing but a link to your own site (you can request a site review within the Website Reviews forum).

The staff here had the final say on what is appropriate and what is not.
